Zaatar is one of our favourites that adds flavour to almost any vegetarian dish great with tomatoes. Earthy, toasted sesame seeds add depth to the fresh, lemony flavours of sumac and the herbs. Try it with kebabs. Za atar is a spice blend particularly popular in the Lebanon and Syria. Za atar is great on flatbreads: brush a Lebanese flatbread or pitta bread with olive oil, sprinkle over some za atar and grill.. Delicious with chicken and in a whole host of dishes with the tangy-ness of the thyme and sumac, mixed with the nutty flavour of the sesame seeds. Try a pinch on top of cheese on toast

The company describes its own premises: "It was set up in 2003 by Axel and Sophie Steenberg (pictured) in North Yorkshire.
