Why this exists
Global supply chains have flooded every category with product, which has made a great deal of life cheaper and better, and has also buried anything made in small numbers close to home. Search for boots and you get ten thousand results with no way to tell which came out of a Northamptonshire factory and which came out of a container.
So even people who actively want to buy British have to fight for it. They have to already know the brand, and dig through copy that says "heritage" and "craftsmanship" without ever saying where anything was made. Most people, reasonably, give up. Not because they don't care, but because caring is made unreasonably hard work.
This catalogue is the answer to that, and it is deliberately cautious about what it claims. A company being British does not make a product British, so those are two separate checks shown separately. Where a maker doesn't state something, the page says nothing rather than guessing. Not every product here has a price we could read from the maker's own page, and those say so rather than pretending otherwise.
More about why this exists, and how we decide what counts as British.
