Urfa Chilli Flakes Smokey heat, stir into tomato sauces or hummus or rub into chicken before grilling. Steenbergs Urfa Chilli Flakes are a gourmet Turkish dried chilli. They come from the Urfa region in southeast Turkey. Alternative names are Urfa Biber and Urfa Isot Biber. Urfa chilli flakes are a dark red that verges on a black treacle colour. Urfa Biber Chilli has a sweet, dried fruity flavour, some smokiness and a mild heat (Scoville units of 7,500). Similar to Aleppo Chilli Flakes.
