Steenbergs Organic Rose Petals are from the damask rose. They re the same roses as used to make Steenbergs Organic Rose Water. Rose petals are popular in the Middle East, North Africa and India. In India, dried rose is powdered for marinades and kormas, for sprinkling on rice, added to desserts like gulab jamun. or for making sherbets. In Iran, rose petals are mixed with cinnamon and cardamom to flavour rice
