Migli is like a tea-less chai drink, essentially anise seed with chai spices. It infuses to an anise sweetness with sweet chai spices. Axel remembers coming across this tea in a Madhur Jaffrey book: I d been looking for some time for a tea-less chai or a spice drink that you could make without anything extra added into it. Migli tea seemed to be the answer, being effectively chai spices, i.e., mainly cinnamon, flavoured with anise seed, ginger and some cloves. UK operations
The company describes its own premises: "It was set up in 2003 by Axel and Sophie Steenberg (pictured) in North Yorkshire. We keep this separate from the company badge because a registered office can be an accountant's spare room, and a company can be registered in Britain while everything it does happens somewhere else.
