Bamboo leaf infusion has a mild, herbaceous taste. It s a light brew that is similar to a green tea but without the caffeine. Bamboo leaf tea has a lovely mild taste with a herbaceous body, a slightly lemon taste with hints of pepper. It s somewhat reminiscent of a green tea but is caffeine free. Bamboo leaf tea is made from the young bamboo leaves which are sun dried. The legend is that Xi Shi, one of the four great beauties of ancient China, drank bamboo leaf tea every day for a silky, smooth skin and a robust health.
