Organic Anise Seed is a sweet spice with a liquorice-like warmth, great in pasta sauces, root vegetable dishes like carrots and parsnips, or rub onto pork. Anise seed is excellent with figs or in breads. Anise Seeds are tiny, oval and crescent-shaped. These pale brown seeds have a clear liquorice flavour that s not too strong or lingering. Organic Aniseed goes well scattered through bread dough as in Scandinavian rye breads or chicken pies, in Indian vegetable curries and also in vegetable soups.
