I remember going to Wien , which, like most people, knew and still know as Vienna , on my first trip abroad as a small girl. I think I was about 7 years old. My dad had been posted in the army and wanted to return, which he did many years later with his family. I was in awe of the gold and glamour of Schonbrunn Palace and fell in love with the beautiful, white horses, the Lippizaner and cried because I couldn't go on the Riesenrad Prater (the big wheel in the fun fair). In my illustration of Wien , the gorgeous Gothic structure of Stephansdom slices through the city, a couple dance the Viennes
