The Tyne and Wear is one of Britain's biggest, beating, industrial heartlands. Home to shipbuilding, coal mining, car making, fishing as well as pottery and glass blowing, I have featured much of the region's proud industrial heritage in my Tyne and Wear illustration. Beautiful, arched bridges that span the River Tyne and the River Wear, together with bonny, beaming lighthouses, make their mark on the unique landscape of this region in the north-east of England. Rich in culture, I have included the contemporary Sage and refurbished Baltic Mill venues as well as referencing the region's ancient
