I went to Venice when I was a little girl and wrote a holiday journal, which includes drawings of the iconic gondoliers and canals. This is the true origins of my Cityscape artwork. The drawing I've done today includes the beautiful, decorative buildings that line the canals with the Piazza San Marco at its heart. I remember looking up at St Mark's Basilica and Bell Tower as a child as well as being transfixed by the multitude of arches that surround the square.
