In the summer of 2018 I took the overnight sleeper train from London to Edinburgh and woke from a deep sleep in the Scottish Borders. Had an intense Scottish mist not obscured my view then I may have seen something such as my Cityscape here… the River Tweed winding its way through heather clad hills upon which sheep flock. The austere baronial, architecture in the Scottish Borders fascinates me, with its fortress like turrets and windows that appear to function more as a guard than letting in light.
