Salcombe is quintessentially British seaside chic. With it many bays, served only by ferries or your own private yacht (or in many cases rubber dinghy) it's a sailors delight. Salcombe is a hop, skip and a jump from where I live and I love the unique, maritime artisan culture that has developed in recent years, which I hope will not get squeezed out by chain stores wanting to muscle in on this special little coastal port in South Hams, Devon.
