Rhode Island is a small state on the East Coast of America that punches above its weight. Home to many lighthouses, which I love to draw and so have included a few in my vision of RI , it is also steeped in maritime and American history. The oldest tavern in America can be found in Newport, America's first diner opened in Providence and the state is full of industrial heritage, of which I've featured a few textile mills in my design. And of course, Rhode Island is famous for it's chicken .... the Rhode Island Red and as I have a mixed breed Rhode Island Red / Light Sussex chicken called Jennif
