I've never been to Reading but have gotten to know it through my Cityscape and come to realise that it is a town that, with its varied industrial heritage of biscuits, bulbs (flowers and not light), beer and bricks it has a lot to be proud of. The Neo-Gothic architecture of the Museum and Town Hall is stunning and something to get my teeth into in my illustration of Reading ! I've also referenced the city's iconic, cultural heritage including the Reading Festival and Oscar Wilde who literally spent time in the city, albeit in the gaol. :-( Julia’s vision of Reading makes a cute and collectable
