I knew little about Peterborough until I came to draw it and I was amazed at how rich it is in architectural gems! The centre piece is Peterborough Cathedral, one of England's finest examples of ecclesiastical, gothic architecture... lots of sky-high spires, endless arches and magnificent stone carvings. I also love the pretty Guildhall, standing proud at the other end of Cathedral Square. The art deco Lido and 17th century Old Customs House are beautiful in their simplicity.
