I was born and raised in Nottingham. The land of literary giants including DH Lawrence and Lord Byron, the contemporary, creative genius of Paul Smith and generous local hero Robin Hood. It's strange when you go back to the place you grew up. I left at 19 to go to art college and never really went back, which is a shame because it's a fantastic city with so much cultural heritage. My Cityscape of Nottingham is therefore very personal and includes places that are close to my heart.
