Northumberland is the true north of England! Its beaches are beautiful and bleak, not for bathing but for wrapping up well for summer as well as winter walks alongside the fresh North Sea coastline. The mystical monastery of Lindisfarne on Holy Island and majestic castle at Bamburgh Castle dominate the skyline on the coast, with Alnwick not to be ignored inland. The magnificent structure of the viaduct at Berwick upon Tweed frames my Northumberland artwork at the north, and the Roman Hadrian's Wall to the south. Sheep and wild goats roam the Cheviot Hills and puffins and guillemots stay close
