I once flew over Nantucket on my way to New York. I was transfixed by the pretty, little clapboard houses and quaint, neat churches that dotted the coastline. I was able to get a closer look of Nantucket when I came to draw this beautiful corner of the world. Surrounded by the sea, a nautical life is very much part of Nantucket as well as my illustration of this island. Boats bob about in the bright blue, which is home to lots of wonderful marine life and the larder for the region. As a shellfish lover its one the many attractions to the area.
