I knew very little about Nantes before I came to draw this lovely town in Brittany. I had enjoyed the lovely, sweet and decorative butter-laden biscuits for years not thinking about the place from which they originated. When I saw the brief and googled my way around Nantes I soon came to realise what a delightful place this is, with a stunning cathedral and elegant, French architecture of old. In the beautiful ancient Quartier Du Bouffay you can wake up with a cafe and croissant and take time over a plat du jour later in the day and feast on the local crepes accompanied by a lovely Muscadet at
