I have very happy memories of spending a few days here whilst at a trade show in Milan a few years ago. Wowed by its amazing ecclesiastical architecture and pretty terracotta roofed houses, wandering aimlessly around the streets of Milan is a delight in itself. Local heroes include Leonardo da Vinci and Verdi, both of whom are featured in my illustration of Milano . I remember walking through street markets to the pretty area of Navigli, eating antipasti washed down by a glass of Chianti by the side of the canal. Ciao Milano !
