Mannheim's industrial heritage and is also a place of innovation, as represented by the extensive port (Hafen) and the Tecnhnoseum and Planetarium. Frederich Schiller came from Mannheim and here you can find him in his home city, sitting pretty below the stunningly beautiful, baroque palace (Barockschloss).
