In 2024 I drove through the Italian Lakes on my way to and from Greece in my campervan. I camped overnight on the banks of Lake Garda and was smitten. The colours I chose for this design remind me of this region, ochre and terracotta set against a verdant green. On the way home, I camped again, this time at the right foot of Lake Como . The following day I enjoyed a boat trip across the lake and walked around one of the many, unbearably beautiful towns that fringe the water. Sadly, so did a staggering number of other tourists, many with Instagram crews to hand, cluttering up the tiny alleys. M
