Ibiza and neighbouring Formentera are popular, holiday island in the Mediterranean where northern Europeans go in search of sunshine. Oce landed they chill out on the beach or cut loose in the many bars and nightclubs on the island. Looking beyond the tourist offer however I can see a beautiful, natural landscape, which local people farm and upon which ancient white villages lie. The beautiful, Iglesia de Santa Gertrudis is therefore at the heart of Ibiza , which is surrounded by an aqua blue sea upon which boats bob and people splash about under a sensational sunset.
