I went to Hamburg in the spring of 2019 but had already discovered this northern German port through my artwork earlier in the year. Sadly I missed most of its attractions: the modernist architecture, pleasure gardens and infamous Reeperbahn as I was doing live Cityscapes at a trade show so barely left my drawing board for 3 days. I did walk down to the harbour however and tasted the wonderful Franzbrotchen. My interpretation of Hamburg is therefore based on my dreams, which I hope to make into a reality sooner rather than later. Julia's vision of Hamburg makes a cute and collectable greeting
