I did a trade show in Glasgow in January once and didn't see daylight for 5 days. Scotland has short days and long nights in the winter and I also discovered that Glasgow has a bitterly cold wind that whistles down the River Clyde, which is not for the faint hearted. That said, Glasgow has a treasure chest of cultural heritage with its many museums and art galleries and with the work and buildings of Rennie Macintosh as its crown jewels.
