Gibraltar lies, crucially, at the point at which the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet. Container ships, luxury yachts and ferries cross the Straits of Gibraltar , making this one of the busiest sea passages in the world. Thrusting up from the ocean is the Rock of Gibraltar , home to the Barbary Macaque.
