I am fortunate to live on the edge of The English Riviera , which growing up as a child in land-locked Nottingham, sounded like an exotic and glamorous place to be, bedecked with palm trees and bejewelled with fairy lights. My grandma used to go there on holiday every year and stories of the golden sand and aqua blue, arcades and afternoon tea sustained my interest. Today its faded glory is evident but its historic past, celebrated with some stunning architecture and National Trust properties shows it still holds great value.
