I love the Scottish Baronial style of architecture of which there is plenty in Edinburgh's Old Town. I love the tiny glazed panel windows, the confident little turrets and the fact that houses look like castles. The most fascinating thing for me about Edinburgh however is that there is a city that is buried underneath the Edinburgh that we know today. There are steep passages and vaults running down from The Royal Mile, where businesses traded and people lived in the 19th century.
