Dumfries and Galloway is one of Scotland's best kept secrets, located in the south west of the Southern Uplands. My illustration of Dumfries Galloway was created for the National Trust for Scotland and this beautiful area of land and coastline contains several of their properties including Threave House Gardens, Broughton House, Thomas Carlyle's Birthplace Museum. The Galloway Hills provide the northern framework for Dumfries Galloway , over which bats, a seagull and an osprey fly.
