An island of two nations, but united in its beautiful landscape and coastline, Cyprus is one of my happy places. Most of my time has been spent in the north of the island, watching turtles lay their eggs on Alagadi Beach, sipping pomegranate juice on the harbour of Kyrenia, or discovering the ancient ruins at Famagusta. Heading south, I recently stayed in a mountain village and loved the drive around the winding roads, to monasteries and the imposing Mount Olympus.
