The ferry pulled into Corfu when I travelled from Italy to Greece last year. I woke in the night and saw palm trees tantalising swaying in the sea breeze, a taste of southern Europe. I want to go back and step on this pretty island, hiking over the mountains to the Nymfes Waterfall or wandering around the narrow streets of Corfu Old Town.
