Connecticut is a beautiful corner of America, steeped in maritime history and literary heritage. The writers Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe were neighbours and both feature in my illustration of Connecticut . Connecticut offers The Great Outdoors in buckets, with mountains for hiking and skiing, forests for camping, rivers and sea for kayaking and fishing it's a wonderful place to live and visit. The state capitol of Hartford shines bright in my illustration of Connecticut , looking more like a Venetian palace than a state seat of governance. I love every opportunity to draw lighthouses
