The City of London is the heart of our nation's capital city and every nook and cranny is jam packed with history and hair raising stories of times gone by. Whether it's treason plotted and failed (and would be assailants sent to the Tower of London ) or fire and damnation (the great plague followed by the Fire of 1666 remembered by the magnificent Monument) it's all happened within this infamous square mile.
