I visited Milton Keynes a couple of years ago and was wowed by the shiny shopping centre, neat infrastructure and robots carrying locals’ shopping. It was so not England, but it definitely is! I love the confidence of this town, which is home to the Open University and is near to where the code breakers worked their magic during WWII. My illustration of Milton Keynes includes the iconic and much-loved concrete cows as well as buildings that hark back to its industrial and rural heritage including Bradwell Windmill and Great Linford Brick Kilns.
