My illustration of Ayrshire was created for the National Trust for Scotland and within this historic beautiful region, lies many wonderful places to visit. The magnificent Culzean Castle lies inland from Turnberry Lighthouse, which juts out into the Firth of Clyde, home to colonies of grey seals and diving dolphins. A leaping salmon rises out of the River Doon, below the ancient Brig O' Doon. My Ayrshire artwork also includes the Isle of Arran, which brings back fond memories for me of a holiday when I was a teenager, climbing Goat Fell in the Scottish mist on a cold, wet, summer's day!
