I visited Athens after I drew it a few years ago and recently satisfied my itch to redraw it, based on my experience of wandering through the pretty, little streets of Plaka and spending time soaking up the vibrant atmosphere in and around the vast food market. This is the lifeblood of Athens however its ancient history is what brings in tourists from around the world. Like them, I climbed the Acropolis to the Parthenon and looked down over this famous Mediterranean city and over to Mount Lycabettus, which is topped by a pretty little chapel. Where we have not looked, we say so rather than assuming.
