Aberdeen ... The Granite City! In my illustration of Aberdeen , a seagull and puffin fight for airspace, whilst a cow and stag look on by the banks of the River Dee. Aberdeen has not just a unique, micro-economy but also its own, distinctive architecture and a wonderful showcase for Scottish Baronial style, which is one of my favourites. I spent some time in Aberdeen at the turn of the century, when I taught printed textiles at Robert Gordon University. It's the coldest I've ever felt in the UK (It was January through to March).
