The father’s tea 凹富后 Āo Fù Hòu Jia generation · planted 2000 · terroir age c. 26 years Āo Fù Hòu is the name of a place: a sunken hollow behind the mountain, encircled by ridges, where moisture pools and fragrance gathers. The original mother tree grew there. The tea that came from it smelled so clearly of gardenia that it earned a second name, Huáng Zhī Xiāng, Yellow Gardenia, after its aroma. One name for where it comes from. One name for what it gives. This tea carries both. The father planted it in the position that most closely mirrors its homeland.
