Grown by Carmelo in his groves at the foot of Mount Etna in Scordia, Sicily. Rarely found outside Italy, Tacle are a cross between a Tarocco Blood Orange and a Clementine. Abandoned by commercial growers for their low yields, the variety survives thanks to Carmelo’s belief in its singular qualities: the seedless, highly sugared flesh of a Clementine paired with the vivid pigmentation and complexity of a Blood Orange.
