Every batch of Rani's Chilli Garlic Mixture starts the same way it always has — with Amma in the kitchen. The base is her original recipe: crisp gram-flour noodles, spiced boondi, baked cashews and peanuts, hand-cut cassava chips and curry leaves, all fried in pure sunflower oil. Then comes the chilli.
