Our Outward Opening Suffolk Latch Kit adapts a traditional Suffolk latch for an outward-opening wooden door. It allows the latch handle to sit on the outside of the door, where a standard straight latch bar would not work correctly. A conventional Suffolk latch usually places the latch bar on the closing side of the door. On an outward-opening door, this arrangement can force the handle onto the inside of the room.
