Finca Las Palmeras is recovering from the heavy pruning cycle the family carried out last year, and as a result we have a smaller amount available to us from this crop. The family decided to prune heavily to help the farm obtain a more sustainable cropping pattern. Most farms would crop a small percentage of their trees every year, so one part of the farm is in production, another in recovery, and another just cropped.
