Our courgette chutney is made following my grandmother’s recipe and was developed many years ago one year when there was a glut of courgettes in the garden. This award winning chutney is not too highly spiced, so works well with milder cheeses. It also makes the perfect partner for a pasty! Chutney originates from India and is made from combining fruit or vegetable with spices, an acid and a sweetener. Rather than sugar, the main preservative in chutneys is vinegar.
