Original. Since 1949. Made In England. The interlace (the decorative woven part featured on the top of our shoes) is a George Cox staple first introduced on the Alaska. Not satisfied by traditional decorations, we sought to create an eye-catching alternative, by slicing open the leather and running a lace in and out of it, hence the name. It obviously worked, because now all of our most recognised styles feature it in one way or another.
