The Original Small Beer
Read The Original Small Beer's story, in their own words.
Wanted: how your things are made
If you make what you sell, we would like to show it. Send us a link to photographs or film of your workshop, your process, your hands at work, and we will put it on this page, credited to you, with a link back to wherever it lives.
We are not after marketing shots. A phone video of a lathe or a stitching bench tells a visitor more than a styled product photo ever will.
Anything you send stays yours. We host nothing ourselves without asking: we link to your own film and your own pictures, and we will take it down the day you want it down.
Trading as SMALL BEER BREW CO. LTD, registered at Companies House number 10185708.
What we have checked
Every brand here has to clear one test before it is listed at all: the company is a UK legal entity with real activity here. That is a question about the business, and it is deliberately not the same question as where any individual product is made.
- uk registered entity: Companies House record resolves, status active. This maker publishes no company number, so the record was matched on company name together with a registered office at SE16 3DH, a postcode published on https://theoriginalsmallbeer.com. Inferred by us (§3.3), not stated by the company. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
- uk hq: Registered office is a UK address: Verney Road, London, SE16 3DH. This is the registered office, which is not necessarily where the company operates. Source, checked 2026-08-29.
- uk site: Stated by the company: "Stop by our brewery in South Bermondsey for freshly-brewed beers, tasty snacks and awesome events. Located close to the Bermondsey Beer Mile, the Small Beer taproom is open to the public Friday & Saturday." Source, checked 2026-09-01.
We have only checked company registration so far. Evidence of UK employment or a UK site is the next thing we intend to gather, and until we have it we say so on every product rather than implying it.
