Terra Nova Equipment has a long, respected heritage of tent-making; having produced some of the world's best outdoor gear since 1980. The Terra Nova 'Best in Class' design ethos drives an ambition to use and develop some of the best components and materials available. Founded by John Harris and Rhona Carr, debuting with an initial collection of 40 uniquely designed tents. the brand was born because they were bored by the "sea of green and blue" tents at outdoor trade shows. Andy Utting and Carolyn Budding acquire terra nova equipment moves its offices and UK Manufacturing from Alfreton to Clay Cross. To celebrate 40 years of the iconic Quasar we released a Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Expedition Quasar. Only 40 units of this specific edition were produced, each handmade in our Derbyshire factory and individualised with a unique serial number and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the expert who made it. Now proudly employee-owned, ensuring our legacy of British innovation and world-class craftsmanship remains in the hands of the experts who build your gear.
