The Denbies story began in 1986, when the White family recognised the potential of the estate's sweeping south-facing slopes, chalk-rich soils and naturally warm microclimate. [The chateau-style winery was built in 1993, the year of the first release, Surrey Gold.] Family-owned since 1986, Denbies is one of England's largest single-estate vineyards.
