XL bell size Yellow brass Screw bell S. Lewis gig bag Well this is a big horn. Sorry, we mean huge horn. A massive XL bore gives this horn lots of punch. In fact it used to belong to Kerry Turner of the American Horn Quartet and still has his keyrings etc in place. Built in 1978 when Paxman were world leaders in Bb/F alto design, this is in unlacquered, yellow brass, screw bell. Owned now by a UK professional this will be a fun horn for someone, but a thorough understanding of left hand position will be important to achieve good tuning as these beasts need a little taming.
