An unusual early 20th Century George 1st style free standing pedestal , desk with brass open plate handles . The shaped draws to each pedestal have unusual oyster Veneers with walnut cross banding and reeded surrounds. The top retains its original brown tooled leather . The quality of this desk and choice of veneers would suggest the leading maker in Georgian style furniture of the time . W. Charles Tozer of 25 Brook Street, London. In 1920, W. Charles Tozer was a cabinet maker, working in London, possibly at Brook Street. He is known to have retailed furniture, including a japanned bureau boo
