A small oval tortoiseshell piqué patch pot , the hinged lid with a beribboned garland of flowers round a blank escutcheon, raised on four ogee feet. English, assay marks C A , London, 1919. Ref. 75 Piqué work is identified by the presence of metals, usually gold and silver, set into materials such as tortoiseshell or ivory. A CITES licence will be supplied for any item being exported from the UK.
